Sourdough Surprises - August

Lovely job on the Gozleme, everyone!

This month we are going to try something we are sure not many of you have tried. Hopefully this month humid and muggy weather won't affect your baking, and you won't need to make a lot of time in busy summer schedules, either. So what are we making?! Granola Bars!!!

Yes, that is right! You can use your starter to make a lovely little treat! You can use whatever ingredients you have in your pantry - different types of nut butters, seeds, dried fruit, nuts, spices - whatever you like! We hope you will use your creativity to create something amazing and delicious! If you need some recipe inspiration, please check out our Monthly Inspiration Pinterest page!

To join us this month:

1. Choose a recipe and bake some delicious hot cross buns, utilizing your sourdough starter!
2. Take some photos and blog about it on August 20, 2014
3. Make sure that you include a backlink to our blog somewhere in your post
4. Follow this link: get the InLinkz code and choose the HTML code that works best for you and your blog. Copy and paste it into the HTML section of your blog. You will know you have done it correctly if you see a little blue frog face (or a blue link) appear.
5. Make sure you enter your post into the linky tool on reveal day so everyone can see what you have made!

Have a fun idea for us to do? Want your monthly creation displayed on our page? Want to join us even if you don't have a blog! Just send us an email at sourdoughsurprises@gmail.com!

We can't wait to see what you guys come up with! :) Have fun!

This sounds very unusual to me. Haven't been joining in the sourdough baking fun for the past few months, but hope to do this challenge.
