Sourdough Surprises October

Sunday, September 22, 2013

Wow, friends. You  have really outdone yourselves this month.  The variety of pancakes and waffles you guys prepared this month is amazingly impressive, and to think that every single one of those is made with sourdough is just amazing.

For this month's theme, we are looking for a whole lot of creativity from you guys.  This month we're using our starters to make quick-breads and/or muffins.  Choose any flavor you want, from sweet to savory, whether for breakfast or a snack. The possibilities are endless, and since quick-breads are so... well... quick, you can try out as many as you want!

Because there are so many varieties, we don't want to limit you by providing an inspiration recipe here, but to get you going, we wanted to share with you this link that helps you understand how to convert you favorite quick-bread or muffin recipe to sourdough. This should give you a springboard for the month, as you can start with a recipe you know and love and make it even better by adding sourdough!

And if you are still looking for ideas, check out our Monthly Inspirations board on Pinterest, where you can find some recipes to set your imagination going.

Here is how to participate this month:

Make some amazingly delicious quick-bread or muffins incorporating your sourdough starter
Take some photos and blog about it on October 20, 2013
Make sure that you include a backlink to our blog somewhere in your post (you need to make sure you include both the "www." and the ".com" in the link in order for the linky tool to work!)
Follow this link: http://new.inlinkz.com/luscript.php?id=320391&nojump=1&key=ILC/q3oVfnP9M
and choose the HTML code that works best for you and your blog. Copy and paste it into the HTML section of your blog (you know you will have done it right when you see the blue frog face)

Then, once your post goes live, make sure you enter your post into our linky tool so that everyone can see the awesome things you have made!

We can't wait to see all of the deliciousness, so go and get sourdough-ing!
