Sourdough Surprises - June

Thursday, May 22, 2014

Ok, guys. We are taking you for a loop this month. We've done all kinds of delicious baked treats with our sourdough starters, ranging from savory to sweet. But this month we are taking you to the next step.

This month we are taking our inspiration from Sourdough Battered Onion Rings! That's right, you can make a delicious and crispy batter to coat all kinds of yummy fried foods. And that's what we are challenging you to do this month - fry stuff! Vegetables, fruit, anything you want is up for grabs. Channel your inner fair-food and see what you can come up with (fried twinkie anyone?) !

As always, you are free to use whatever recipe you want, however if you need some inspiration please check out our Pinterest Inspiration Board!

To join us this month:

1. Choose a recipe and fry up some awesomeness, utilizing your sourdough starter!
2. Take some photos and blog about it on June 20, 2014
3. Make sure that you include a backlink to our blog somewhere in your post
4. Follow this link:   get the InLinkz code and choose the HTML code that works best for you and your blog. Copy and paste it into the HTML section of your blog. You will know you have done it correctly if you see a little blue frog face (or a blue link) appear.
5. Make sure you enter your post into the linky tool on reveal day so everyone can see what you have made!

Can't wait to see the delicious creations you come up with!

Omg this is so exciting! The sourdough frying batter sounds great. I'll think I'll start with onions since I've never made onion rings! But I've made fried oreos, they were sooo good lol.
